Rana Faure is a seasoned photographer and photo industry executive with over 20 years of experience, driven by a passion for visual storytelling. Growing up in Brooklyn and later Israel with photographer, artist, and educator parents, she was immersed in diverse global perspectives and artistic expression.  Her first work experiences ranged from assisting the librarian at the Hastings Center for Bioethics to prepping food at a French restaurant and working at a local art gallery.  After studying acting at Syracuse University, she returned to New York City to pursue her true calling: photography.  She is self-taught.

Rana's career has encompassed key roles such as photo editor at Seventeen magazine, Director of Photography at Getty Images, and co-founder of Mother Image, a boutique agency focused on authentic motherhood imagery.  During the photography industry's pivotal transition from film to digital, Rana collaborated with teams that developed metadata guidelines and innovative digital cataloging systems, effectively bridging the gap between analog and digital workflows.

A resourceful leader and visionary photographer, Rana has extensive experience leading creative teams, managing projects, and driving technological innovation. Her work has included directing creative projects, managing relationships with thousands of photographers at Getty Images, and creating relevant and viable content.  Her expertise spans budget planning, asset and archive management, and fostering strong relationships with artists. She is skilled in contracts, sales, licensing, pricing, and copyright and is committed to team development and operational excellence, with a proven ability to streamline workflows for increased efficiency and creativity.

Rana serves on the National Board of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), the leading trade association for professional photographers, dedicated to helping them build sustainable careers and protecting their work through copyright education.

Today, Rana maintains a vibrant and versatile photography career, capturing still and moving images of corporate events, travel, portraits, food, interiors, lifestyle, and weddings. Her client list includes prominent organizations such as the Madison Square Garden Company (New York Knicks, New York Rangers, Radio City Music Hall Rockettes), global architecture firms like Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates Architects (KPF) and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), and renowned publications such as Dutchess Magazine and Westchester Magazine.
