As a writer and journalist, Melissa Grego has been featured in The Hollywood ReporterVariety, and Billboard. She is a frequent guest expert on CNN and MSNBC and was the first female Editor-in-Chief of Broadcasting & Cable. Now as the founder of Melinc, Melissa focuses on connecting and empowering people in the entertainment and tech communities through conferences and live events. Melissa Grego is a Los Angeles-based journalist, writer, editor and conference producer with expertise in TV, media and entertainment and a keen interest in connecting and empowering professional women. She launched her conference and consulting company Melinc in 2015 and now owns and operates the premier off-the-record conference series for women of media, entertainment and tech, Keynotes & Cocktails, which she founded while at B&C. Melissa still contributes to B&C and its parent company NewBay Media as Executive Producer of Next TV Summit & Expo, a high-level, future-focused conference providing insights into the impact of new TV and video devices, delivery systems and consumer expectations in the digital era.

Melissa previously held top leadership positions at The Hollywood Reporter, where she led the integration of the print and digital editorial staffs as Editor of THR.com, and TelevisionWeek, where she launched her interview column Mel’s Diner. Before that, Melissa covered TV as a reporter for Variety. Earlier in her career she wrote for young women’s magazines including YMJump and All About You. Melissa was also a special correspondent for the nationally syndicated TV show Extra and hosted and produced video reports for THR.com and Billboard.com. A frequent public speaker, she’s lectured at UCLA and regularly moderates panels and Q&As with TV and media industry figures around the world.
